Decent mid-week deal

I grabbed a mid-week break discount on a Cottage. The price was pretty good compared to what I saw for school holidays. It felt like a solid deal for what we got. Saved a fair bit booking off-peak. Worth checking their seasonal offers if you're flexible.

Always a good choice for Easter

This was our third time at Ribby Hall for Easter. We stayed in a Signature Collection Lodge this time, and it was just as good as the Cottages we had before. The staff are always friendly, and everything runs smoothly. The kids love the Wild Discovery Zoo, and it's nice to know what to expect each visit. It's consistent, which is why we keep coming back.

Had a nice time

Went for a weekend with my family. We stayed in one of the lodges. It was all pretty easy to get around. The kids liked the pool and we had a good meal at one of the restaurants. No problems at all, everything was good. Just a chill break.

Nice stay, few minor points

We booked a short stay in a Luxury Pine Lodge over a half-term. The lodge was clean and comfortable, and the village grounds were well-maintained. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the kids liked the soft play area. Customer service at check-in was friendly. My only small gripe was that booking some activities like mini golf was a bit fiddly online, and popular slots filled up fast. Overall, a positive experience, but the activity booking system could be a little smoother.

Good family break, some activities extra

We booked a Luxury Pine Lodge for a week in August. The booking process online was straightforward, and I received confirmation quickly. Check-in was efficient, and the lodge itself was clean and well-equipped with modern appliances. We used the swimming pool almost daily; passes were included, which was nice. I also tried a spa treatment at The Spa Hotel, which was very relaxing. Some activities like Laser Tag and Archery cost extra, which we hadn't fully factored in, but they were fun for the kids. Overall, a pleasant stay with good facilities, though you need to budget for additional activities.

Is it possible to visit for just the day without staying overnight? Like, just for the soft play or something.

D Donna M. 1 month ago
Yeah, you can get day passes! We did it last summer for the Wild Discovery zoo and a bit of soft play. You just buy them at reception or sometimes online.

Absolutely! They have day passes for things like the swimming pool or specific activities, and you can definitely just pop in for the soft play or the zoo without booking accommodation.

Do you have to pay extra for the swimming pool? Or is that included with the accommodation?

D Daniel Nguyen 2 weeks ago
The main swimming pool is included in your stay, so no extra charge for that! Some of the specific activities might cost extra, but general swimming is free.

Swimming pool access is included, which is nice. You don't have to worry about that unless you're looking at special classes or something.

How do their last minute deals work? Is it just random or do they drop at certain times?

D Danielle Moore 3 weeks ago
I've seen them pop up closer to the date, sometimes for mid-week stays. Best to keep an eye on their 'offers' section on the website.

S Susan Smith 2 weeks ago
They do have last minute deals, especially outside of peak school holidays. Usually you'll find them listed under a specific 'last minute' or 'offers' section on their site.

Hey, wondering about check-in times for the lodges. We're driving up from Bristol and might hit traffic.

R Rachel Moore 1 month ago
I think it's usually 4 PM, but you can sometimes get in a bit earlier if it's ready. Worth asking reception when you arrive.

M Matt B. 1 month ago
Yeah, it's 4pm for the lodges. They're pretty strict on it since they need to get everything cleaned up from the previous guests.

Trying to decide between Ribby Hall and Center Parcs. Anyone been to both? What's the vibe difference?

D Donna G. 3 weeks ago
Ribby Hall feels a bit more chill and premium, less hectic than Center Parcs sometimes. The spa there is amazing. Center Parcs has more activities for kids, but Ribby's still got plenty.

S Sean J. 3 weeks ago
Ribby Hall is definitely more luxurious, especially the Spa Hotel. Center Parcs is great for active families, but Ribby has a nicer feel if you want to relax more and still have activities available.
